Miriam Virginia Reter, 89, of Owings Mills

Miriam Virginia Reter, 89, of Owings Mills, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Westminster.

Born Aug. 21, 1926 in New Windsor, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Stultz and Marie Benedict Stultz. She was the husband of Carl S. Reter, her husband of 67 years, who passed away in 2011. In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing and traveling with her husband. Their travels took them to 49 of the 50 states excluding California.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Steven Reter Sr. and wife JoAnn of Owings Mills, Dennis Reter Sr. and wife Judy of Manchester, and David Reter and wife Ann, of Reisterstown; her grandchildren Kerri Carter, Krystal Martin and Dennis Jr., Steven Jr., Brandon, Sarah and Emily Reter; her great-grandchildren Jeremy Carter, Tyler and Alexander Martin and Spencer Reter. She was predeceased by a daughter Barbara Jane Reter; and a sister Betty Stultz.

The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 2015.
