Niche Bakery Opening in Owings Mills

A Bite of Heaven in Owings Mills will serve a niche market including those seeking gluten-free, nut-free and vegan desserts.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — A new bakery is coming to town, catering to a special kind of sweet tooth.

Brookside Commons will soon be home to a bake shop that sells vegan, gluten-free and peanut-free treats, according to Citybizlist, which reports A Bite of Heaven will open this spring.

Owner Tavia Mick has been baking out of a commercial kitchen in Randallstown and selling her cookies, cupcakes and other sweets at Sykesville and Ellicott City farmers markets.

She reportedly works as an IT professional for the federal government and is opening a brick and mortar store after encouragement from her fans, including the following she has at the farmers markets.

The storefront will be located in the shopping center off Lakeside Boulevard.

A Bite of Heaven sells cookies, cakes, cupcakes and special orders, including wedding cakes. It also caters.
