O.J. and Chanda Brigance Speak to Students at Worthington Elementary School

On Wednesday, December 11, 2013, O.J. and Chanda Brigance visited Worthington Elementary School in Howard County, MD to speak to an audience of 500 students, teachers and parents. During the assembly, the Brigances spoke about ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) and how the disease affects people. They talked about the symptoms of the disease and how you can overcome the challenges that are associated with ALS by adapting to a new way of living. O.J. and Chanda stressed a “never quit” mentality to the students regardless of how bad a situation may seem. They also spoke about kindness and helping and supporting others when they are struggling or dealing with difficulties in their lives.
