Owings Mills Crime Blotter: Armed Robbery, Business Burglarized
Police said a home break-in and a cash box stolen from a business were among the crimes recently reported in the Franklin precinct.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — So far this August, officials say there have been two commercial crimes in Owings Mills — a cigarette robbery at one business and a cash drawer burglary at another.
On the residential front, one home and a detached garage have been burglarized in Owings Mills, according to police, who said Friday morning a man was held up by two people who wanted a ride in an armed robbery.

Two armed robbers held up a man in the 900 block of Joshua Tree Court at 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 12. He was robbed after saying he would not drive the suspects to a gas station, according to police. Officials said the property was recovered, except for cash.
A business in the 10800 block of Reisterstown Road was burglarized on Saturday, Aug. 7. Police said two people pried open the front door at 9:41 p.m. and took a cash box that had money inside.

Numerous items were stolen from unlocked vehicles inside a garage in the 200 block of Central Avenue. Police said the burglar went into the detached garage at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 7.
A safe and jewelry were stolen in a home burglary in the 11900 block of Long Lake Drive. Police said the break-in occurred through a window sometime between the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 3, and Friday, Aug. 6.
A business in the 9700 block of Reisterstown Road was robbed at 5:20 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 2. Police said two people took cigarettes from the business, one of whom implied having a weapon. The robbers took off, police said, and some cigarettes were recovered.
