Owings Mills Gets Connected with New Express Bus

Express BusLink will help people get from the Owings Mills Metro Station to other suburbs.

A new set of bus lines that launched Monday will enable people to get from Owings Mills to other suburbs and destinations more quickly, without having to travel through Baltimore.

Express BusLink will connect Owings Mills to Towson and to BWI Thurgood Marshall International Airport.

There are three new bus lines, according to the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA):

  • Express BusLink 106 (Owings Mills Metro Station to Towson University)
  • Express BusLink 107 (Old Court Metro Station to BWI)
  • Express BusLink 102 (White Marsh Park and Ride to Towson University)

Travelers on each line will be able to move between suburbs without having to go through Baltimore City.

According to the MTA, Express BusLink shortens the two-hour trip from White Marsh to Towson to one hour.

"Baltimore has desperately needed a comprehensive, regional transit plan that helps alleviate downtown congestion by opening up the transit grid and that connects people to emerging job centers," MTA Administrator/CEO Paul Comfort said in a statement.

Added Comfort: "Express BusLink is an important new service that will link people to where they need to go."
