Owings Mills Homicide Victim Identified

A 21-year-old Anne Arundel County man was shot in Baltimore County, officials say.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — A 21-year-old Anne Arundel County man has been identified as the victim of a homicide in Owings Mills.

Deras Washington, of the 800 block of Nancy Lynn Lane in Arnold, was found shot Thursday afternoon, according to officials.

Investigators said they believe Washington was targeted.

He was found with a gunshot wound in the 9400 block of Common Brook Road before 5 p.m. Thursday, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

The area is a gated condominium community, according to WMAR, which reported the victim was seen near a silver car before he was shot.
