Owings Mills Homicide Victim Was Targeted, Police Say

The deadly shooting in Owings Mills is under investigation. Tips could yield a reward of up to $2,000, according to authorities.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — A man was killed in a shooting in Owings Mills Thursday night, according to police, who said investigators believe he was targeted.

Officials identified the victim as a man who lives near Woodlawn. A suspect has not been identified.

Tyrelle Najee Melvin Wyche, 31, of the 5900 block of Franklin Avenue in the 21207 ZIP code, was shot at least once when officers found him in the 100 block of Pittston Circle before 10:30 p.m., police said.

Wyche was taken to Sinai Hospital, where he later died, according to authorities.
