Owings Mills Library Employee Tests Positive For Virus: Library

​A staff member at the Owings Mills library has tested positive for the coronavirus, officials said.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — The Owings Mills branch of the Baltimore County Public Library will be closed for about two weeks after a staff member tested positive for the coronavirus, officials reported Thursday, Nov. 5.

"Out of an abundance of caution," officials said the branch would be closed until Nov. 18.

Contact tracing is underway to determine who interacted with the infected person, according to library officials.

During the interim, library personnel advised taking materials from other branches, which are offering curbside pickups and computer appointments.

The other library branches (except Reisterstown, which is under renovation) are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
