Owings Mills Man Charged in Death of Infant Son: Report
A man from Owings Mills was reportedly arrested by U.S. Marshals in connection with a homicide that left his 2-month-old deceased.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — An Owings Mills man was reportedly arrested Thursday in connection with the death of his infant son eight months ago in York, Pennsylvania.
Jonathan Colby Thompson, 31, of the 3200 block of Walnut Avenue in Owings Mills, was apprehended with assistance from U.S. Marshals and will be extradited to Pennsylvania, according to reports.
Thompson was charged with homicide and child endangerment related to the death of "J.T.," his two-month-old baby who died after Thompson said he threw the infant onto the couch a "little too hard," the York Dispatch reported. The child's mother reportedly told investigators that she had been concerned by the father's aggressive behavior toward their baby, who was fussier than a normal infant.

In cardiac and respiratory arrest, J.T. was hospitalized in May and died three weeks later on June 10, according to the York Daily Record. An autopsy determined the death was a homicide caused by multiple traumatic injuries, as the child was found to have suffered rib fractures, brain injuries and eye damage, the paper said.
Police told the York Daily Record that charges were not filed until this week because police were building a case to show Thompson meant to harm his son.
