Owings Mills Man Charged with Murder
Police identify the man charged in last week's deadly shootings in Owings Mills.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — An Owings Mills man has been charged with murder in the double shooting last week that resulted in the death of a 19-year-old.
Carlos Levell Nicholson, 31, of the unit block of Fennington Circle, is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center, police reported Monday.
Nicholson is charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder in connection with the shootings in Owings Mills on Jan. 7, police said.

Officers responded to the unit block of Lower Gate Court at 10:47 p.m. that Thursday night and found two people shot.

Treshawn William Johnson, 19, of the 100 block of Sunmar Court, was declared deceased on the sidewalk with a single gunshot wound, police said.
A second victim was taken to an area hospital for medical treatment, officials reported.
Authorities said the victim had ”some sort of interaction with Nicholson” and during that interaction, Nicholson shot both men.
Nicholson is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing in Baltimore County District Court on Feb. 5.
