Owings Mills Man Killed In Crash: Police
An Owings Mills man died when his car crashed into a utility pole, police said.

TOWSON, MD — An Owings Mills man died when his car crashed into a pole in Towson Tuesday, according to authorities. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, police reported.
Barry Martin Beynon, 74, of the 5000 block of Willow Branch Way in Owings Mills, died at the scene, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.
Beynon had been driving his 2010 Nissan Altima east on Joppa Road when the car went off the road and hit a pole near Edgeclift Road at 10:23 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20, according to authorities.

Authorities said they were still investigating what caused the crash Tuesday night.

According to Fox 45, it was the second crash in a week in that area.
A pedestrian was hit on Joppa Road Wednesday about 0.1 mile away, near Lasalle Road. In that case, which occurred after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14, the victim had to be airlifted for treatment.
