The National Weather Service advisory calls for snow during commute Thursday.

Between 1 and 2 inches are in the forecast, according to the National Weather Service, which issued a winter weather advisory for Thursday.

The advisory is in effect from 3 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Feb. 26, for Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Harford, Howard and Montgomery counties as well as parts of Virginia.

Snow will begin overnight and continue through late Thursday morning. It will be heaviest during the morning commute, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will be in the upper 20s, the forecast indicates.
