Multiple Officers Opened Fire, Killed Man in Owings Mills Condo: Police
The Baltimore County Police Department said officers were responding to domestic incident.
Officers shot and killed a man early Thursday morning while responding to a domestic incident in Owings Mills, according to reports.
Spencer Lee McCain, 41, died at a local hospital around 8 a.m. Thursday, according to WBAL.
Officers encountered the man when responding to a call for unknown trouble in the 3000 block of Hunting Ridge Drive at 1:05 a.m., according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Authorities learned on the way to the scene that the incident may be domestic in nature and after hearing arguing inside without anybody answering the door, officers forced their way into the residence, police reported.
They broke down the door of a second-story condo, WJZ reported.

Inside, the man “produced what [officers] believed to be a gun” and multiple officers opened fire, according to police, who said the man confronted the officers and they feared for their safety.
The man was still alive and taken to a local hospital, police reported after 2:30 a.m. He later died, and the three officers who shot him were placed on routine leave, according to ABC 2 News, which reported they fired at least 19 times.
A woman and two children were also inside the residence, according to police. They were unharmed, WJZ reported.
There was a protective order against the man, barring him from entering the residence, according to ABC 2.
