Owings Mills Teacher Up For Teacher Of The Year 2018

An educator at Lyons Mill Elementary is a finalist for Teacher of the Year in Baltimore County Public Schools.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — An Owings Mills educators is up for the Baltimore County Public Schools 2018 Teacher of the Year. The six finalists were announced this week.

Brendan Penn is a third-grade teacher at Lyons Mills Elementary. Now in his sixth year, Penn helped the Lyons Mill VEX robotics team qualify for the national competition in his role as the elementary robotics liaison for Baltimore County Public Schools. He in his third year of teaching at Lyons Mills Elementary.

Other finalists for Baltimore County's Teacher of the Year award are Catherine Flanagan of Victory Villa Elementary School; Dr. Lenora Lipinski of Perry Hall High School; Kimberly Burton-Regulski of Eastern Tech; Robert Russell of Cockeysville Middle; and Alison Tunison of Lutherville Lab.
