Owings Mills Woman Wins $50K: Maryland Lottery

A retired postal worker from Owings Mills recently matched all numbers on the Bonus Match 5 game, officials said.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — An Owings Mills woman who won more than $50,000 recently said she picked her numbers based on her family's birthdays, according to the Maryland Lottery.

The 65-year-old retired postal worker said she has been playing the numbers for 10 years, including during the Aug. 16 drawing for the Bonus Match 5 game.

After matching all five numbers, she told lottery officials she plans to boost her retirement savings with the $50,030 win.

For selling the winning ticket, the New Town Sunoco at 9330 Lakeside Boulevard will receive a $500 bonus from the Maryland Lottery, officials said.
