Owings Mills Woman Wins $50K From Scratch-Off

OWINGS MILLS, MD - An Owings Mills woman won $50,000 recently playing a scratch-off, according to the Maryland Lottery.

“I have won $5,000 a couple of times but this takes the cake!” the 78-year-old woman said. She said when she first realized she was a winner, she thought it was another $5,000 score.

“I nearly flipped out...” she said, after learning of her prize after purchasing the $5 Yahtzee scratch-off game at the Valley BP in Owings Mills.

For selling the winning ticket, Valley BP at 9604 Reisterstown Road will receive a $500 bonus, lottery officials say.
