A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries in an Owings Mills crash, police said.

Police said a man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was hit crossing Reisterstown Road.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — A man walking across Reisterstown Road early Wednesday morning is recovering at an area hospital after being hit by an SUV, according to police.

The 21-year-old man was trying to cross Reisterstown Road near east Pleasant Hill Road before 1 a.m. Wednesday when he was hit by a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder, investigators said.

The driver stayed at the scene, while the pedestrian was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were described as life-threatening, according to police. Officials said the man who was hit was not in a crosswalk.
