As is the tradition, the Reisterstown Festival kicked off the morning of Saturday, Sept. 10, at 9 a.m. with a parade down Main Street. The procession began at Franklin Middle School and its way south to .

There were a variety of participants this year, everything from horse drawn carriges to souped-up sports cars. The parade, which was officiated by Councilwoman Vicki Almond, included Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz, Del. Dan Morhaim, Franklin High School Principal Patrick McCusker and fire companies from Reisterstown, Owings Mills, Glyndon and Manchester.

Those attending the event lined Main Street, waving and snatching up the candy and other goodies being thrown from the floats. Here's a look at some of the floats, displays and furry friends that went down Main Street.
