Pikesville Assisted Living Fire Under Investigation
Fire broke out inside the 105-bed facility.
A fire at a senior living facility caused an early morning evacuation in Pikesville on Monday, according to reports.
At approximately 2:40 a.m., fire broke out on the third floor of Springhouse Assisted Living in the 8900 block of Reistertown Road, where firefighters contained the flames to one bedroom in the 105-room facility, according to WBAL.
Firefighters helped the residents get out safely, and nobody was injured as a result of the blaze, Fox 45 reported.
One person was taken to the hospital for breathing issues unrelated to the fire, according to The Baltimore Sun.
By 6 a.m., residents were allowed to return inside, WBAL reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
