Police Activity Around Tollgate Community Ended With One Arrest
One man was arrested while another got away.

The tables were quickly turned on two men who robbed a resident Monday on the unit block of Strawhat Road in Owings Mills, said Lt. Stephen Doarnberger of .
A helicopter and K-9 units were among the departments dispatched to track the suspects down after a resident reported he was robbed while walking home a little after 9:30 p.m., Doarnberger said. The incident occurred just outside the victim's home.
The two men approached him from behind, and one pulled out what appeared to be a handgun before demanding the victim's money and belongings, police said. The victim gave them his cell phone and some cash before the pair took off on foot, Doarnberger said.

Officer Michael Gamble was on patrol near Reisterstown and Tollgate Roads when the incident was reported and spotted two men walking down the street.
He apprehended one man but a search for a second suspect using the aviation department and K-9 units proved futile after about an hour, police said.

Police charged Jacob Pharez Smith, 17, who police said was found with a .BB gun and cash, with armed robbery. He was charged as an adult.
Police were searching for a second suspect.
