Police Charge Suspect With Fake Bomb After Bank Robbery in Pikesville
A male suspect was charged about 20 minutes after witnesses say he threatened a Pikesville bank teller with a bomb and stole an undisclosed amount of money.

A man threatened a Pikesville bank teller Thursday with a fake bomb before he was arrested about 20 minutes later, according to a Baltimore County Police release.
The male suspect demanded money from a teller at the on the 2800 block of Smith Avenue a little after 9 a.m., said he had a bomb and then fled, the release stated. Witnesses informed police which way he ran, and he was taken into custody at about 9:30 a.m.
"The dye packs from the bank exploded inside the suspect's bag" full of an undisclosed amount of money. Officers also recovered an explosive device that proved to be a hoax, according to the release.
