Glyndon Barricade: Suspect Surrendered, Police Said

A situation that prompted increased police activity has ended near Glyndon, officials reported.

GLYNDON, MD — Police said a wanted person surrendered peacefully after officers had been trying to serve a warrant in the Glyndon area Wednesday evening and ran into a barricade situation. It lasted for several hours.

Officers were in the unit block of Glynn Garth trying to serve the warrant, police reported after 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24.

After midnight, authorities reported the suspect was in custody.

Once the person surrendered, police said that family members were taking over care of pets from the home.
