Power Restored At Owings Mills Senior Living Facility: Officials

A power outage struck an Owings Mills senior living facility Wednesday night, officials reported.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — Multiple buildings at a senior living community were without power Wednesday night, according to officials. The power outage was in the 3400 block of Associated Way, the Baltimore County Fire Department reported.

Emergency personnel were alerted to the situation at 8:19 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, officials said, noting there may have been people at the complex who required oxygen.

By 9:20 p.m., authorities reported power had been restored to all building and firefighters were leaving the area.

No injuries were reported, officials said.

There are nearly 800 people without power in Baltimore County as of 8:45 p.m., according to BGE. By 9:25 p.m., the number had shrunk to 79.

Wind gusts were about 18 mph in Finksburg, based on state transportation data reported at 8:40 p.m.
