Rainbow Over Chestnut Ridge Firetruck: 'Spectacular Display'

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Usually, the Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Company is busy putting out fires. But the volunteers took a moment on Tuesday to reflect, capturing this amazing moment and sharing a powerful message.

"Thank you to Mother Nature for providing this spectacular display of light over our community," Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Company posted on its Facebook page, as a caption for the photo. "As the rainbow is a symbol of peace, serenity and beauty, let it be a sign of what is being bestowed upon all of us."

Rainbows form when light shines through water.

Some of the Chestnut Ridge VFC Facebook followers had ideas for what could be at the end of the rainbow.

"That should be framed," one said.

"Amazing photo! Should be in a contest!" another added.
