Randallstown Man Charged in Tavern Shooting: Police

A confrontation at carryout part of restaurant prompted shootings, Baltimore County police said.

A Randallstown man has been charged with attempted murder and other offenses in connection with a double shooting at Tom’s Tavern last month, police said.

Donald Oneill, 51, of the 3800 block of Janbrook Road, got into a confrontation Feb. 10 with two people in the carryout section of Tom’s Tavern in the 9300 block of Liberty Road, then shot them and left the scene, according to police.

Oneill is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, using a firearm to commit a felony and having a handgun on his person.

Police said both men were taken to the hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

Oneill is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center, police reported Wednesday.

He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for March 18 in Baltimore County District Court.
