Randallstown Man Facing 13 Charges in Child Porn Case

A Randallstown man is being held without bail on child pornography and related charges, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.
Kenneth Majeed Smith, 37, of the unit block of McChurch Court, allegedly had a sexual relationship with at least one child, and officials are looking into the possibility that there were others, police reported.

Smith came onto the police radar when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children alerted local authorities Oct. 6 to questionable internet activity, and investigators found a “pornographic image of a very young child” had been uploaded from the the home on McChurch Court, according to the report.
Officials executing a warrant said they found thousands of images containing child pornography on thumb drives, a laptop and tablet and identified Smith as the person responsible for them.

Smith is charged with 13 offenses, including sexual abuse of a minor, possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography and related charges, according to police.
Smith is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
Investigators are working to identify the children pictured in the images on his devices, police said.
