Ravens Players Outline Christmas Game Plan for Kids, Steelers

Some dads who play for the Baltimore Ravens say their kids will have Christmas a day late.

Since the Baltimore Ravens will be playing the Steelers in Pittsburgh on Christmas, the players who have kids are strategizing their holiday plans.

"I'll just trick them and act like Christmas is Monday," tight end Dennis Pitta said. "My oldest is three, so he doesn't know the difference."

Quarterback Joe Flacco agreed with the game plan, saying that his kids did not know the days of the week. "Santa will be coming on Monday," Flacco said.

Flacco also said that he is excited about the pressure that comes with playing the Steelers and their Terrible Towel-bearing fans. "...you dream of going into hostile environments in high-pressure situations where there is a lot on the line," Flacco told the BaltimoreRavens.com.

He's not the only one looking forward to the charged atmosphere inside the stadium at Heinz Field. One of his wide receivers — who used to be a Steeler — said he plans to ring in the holiday with touchdowns.

"I can tell you 'Merry Christmas' on my way to the end zone," said Mike Wallace of his attitude toward the Steelers, where he was on the roster from 2009 to 2012. He added: "It's all good."

Kickoff for the Ravens-Steelers game is 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 25, at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.
