Reisterstown Credit Scores Top Owings Mills: Study

Despite their proximity, Reisterstown and Owings Mills residents have a little distance between them when it comes to credit scores.

According to WalletHub, Reisterstown residents have an average credit score of 683.68, while their counterparts in Owings Mills have scores averaging 660.81.

That may not sound like much but in the scheme of WalletHub’s rankings, they are miles apart.

Reisterstown’s credit scores are in the 62nd percentile nationally, with 99 being the best, according to WalletHub; Owings Mills ranks in the 37th percentile.

Topping WalletHub’s list is The Villages, Fla., which has the best credit scores in the U.S., averaging 779.51.

So where do Reisterstown and Owings Mills stack up nationally?

Reisterstown is number 977 on WalletHub’s list of 2,570 towns ranked by credit score data, supplied by TransUnion.

Owings Mills is number 1,613.

The only Maryland town to make it into the top 10 was Potomac, which was tenth on the list. According to WalletHub, residents of the Montgomery County town have an average credit score of 748.63.
