Rain Cancels Second Day Of Reisterstown Festival
The weather has led to a change of plans for the Reisterstown Festival.

REISTERSTOWN, MD — The Reisterstown Festival is usually a two-day affair. But this weekend, the weather resulted in a change in tradition.
Organizers announced Sunday morning that the Sunday portion of the Reisterstown Festival was canceled due to rain.
Much of the state is under a flood warning, with up to 3 inches of rain expected by 3:30 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

While rain cut short some of the live music and canceled the fireworks show planned on Saturday, festival-goers got to experience the parade and other entertainment before the weather took its toll.

The festivities kicked off with a parade at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8. A little rain did not stop participants, and Reisterstown Road was closed from Hanover Pike to Franklin Boulevard from 8:30 to 10:45 a.m. as bands, entertainers, politicians and other community members marched along the route.
Lt. Gov. Boyd Rutherford was among those participating in the parade at 10 Cockeys Mill Road.
