Watch Reisterstown Protest On Reisterstown Road

Protesters marched in Reisterstown from Franklin High School to Franklin Middle School.

REISTERSTOWN, MD — Protesters marched from Franklin High School to Franklin Middle School Friday afternoon in Baltimore County. People of all ages, including many youths, participated in the protest, which began along Reisterstown Road before 1 p.m.

Supporters set up stations along the more than 1-mile route with water bottles, and onlookers peppered Reisterstown Road with signs showing they stood in solidarity with those advocating for an end to racial inequity.

Although the march took place on the sidewalk, police were posted along the route to assist with traffic. Many cars honked at those demonstrating, as protesters shouted: "Black lives matter" and "Say his name: George Floyd."
