Reisterstown Teen Charged With Attempted Murder
The 17-year-old from Reisterstown was charged after a stabbing in Howard County, police said.

LAUREL, MD — A teen from Reisterstown was charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in Laurel, according to the Howard County Police Department.
Youssef El Ghazouani, 17, of the 12300 block of Bonmot Place, is being held without bail at the Howard County Detention Center.
Police allege the Reisterstown teen stabbed a 19-year-old acquaintance in Laurel, where authorities were called to the 8400 block of Ice Crystal Drive for a report of an assault at 11:23 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 16.

Officers determined there had been an altercation involving the victim and several acquaintances.
The victim was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was treated and released, according to officials.

Through investigation, authorities said they identified El Ghazuoani as the suspect.
El Ghazuoani was arrested on Oct. 21 and charged with attempted first-degree murder, first and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. He was being held in Howard County on a no-bond status.
