Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For 3 Counties
Hail, lightning and strong winds are possible, according to the National Weather Service.

BALTIMORE, MD — A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for three counties. Baltimore, Carroll and Howard counties are under the warning until 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 8.
The National Weather Service issued the warning around 10 p.m. when a line of severe thunderstorms was detected west of Gamber to near Mount Airy, moving east.
Locations that may be impacted by the storms include the following, according to the National Weather Service: Pikesville, Randallstown, Owings Mills, Eldersburg, Milford Mill, Reisterstown, Mount Airy, Sykesville, Oakland, Gamber, Garrison, Henryton, Winfield, Lisbon, Louisville, Woodstock, Gaither, Watersville, Granite and Poplar Springs.

Those under the severe thunderstorm warning should go inside and stay away from trees. Drivers should avoid wooded areas.
Wind gusts of 60 mph are possible with the storm, and trees may fall. Penny-sized hail and lightning may accompany the storms as well.
