Shooter From Pikesville Area Arrested: Police

Police said that a man accused of shooting a 66-year-old woman through the front door Sunday night was connected to other area crimes.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A man has been arrested after police allege he was linked to several acts of violence, including shooting at and injuring a 66-year-old woman in the Pikesville precinct Sunday night. The man was not identified other than as a 26-year-old driving a Ford Mustang.

Detectives said that they have linked the man to these incidents on Sunday, Sept. 30:

  • After 7 p.m., he allegedly assaulted a family member and committed theft in the unit block of Comill Court in Owings Mills.
  • At 7:43 p.m., he is accused of firing through the front door of a home in the 7400 Ricksway Road near Pikesville, where he shot a woman in the upper body. The 66-year-old victim is in serious but stable condition at a local hospital Monday evening; police said she sustained a life-threatening injury.

Police said the suspect may be linked to these incidents, also from Sunday, Sept. 30:

  • At 8:21 p.m., police were called to the 9900 block of Tuscarora Road in Randallstown for a shooting. The front side of the home showed damage from gunfire, according to authorities.
  • At 8:32 p.m., a burglary was reported in the 9900 block of Shoshone Way in Randallstown.
  • At 8:35 p.m., there was an unsubstantiated call about a shot fired in the 4600 block of Talman Road near Pikesville.

Police said the man has associates in all of the areas where the calls came from Sunday night.

At 9:01 p.m., police stopped a Ford Mustang on Reisterstown Road near Mount Wilson Lane near Garrison, after officers had issued a lookout countywide for the vehicle in connection with the shooting.

A sergeant from the Franklin precinct stopped the suspect, who was arrested. Police said his information would be released once he had been charged.
