Snow Totals in Owings Mills, Reisterstown

Winter is having its last hurrah until spring officially starts at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, March 20.

A rain-snow mix hit Owings Mills and Reisterstown during the morning rush hour, and Baltimore County was under a winter weather advisory until 2 p.m.

Here are preliminary snow totals for Baltimore County on Friday from the National Weather Service:

• 2.8 inches in northwest Brooklandville; reported at 2:10 p.m.
• 2.7 inches in Reisterstown; reported at 12:57 p.m.
• 2.4 inches in Cockeysville; reported at 9:50 a.m.
• 2.3 inches in Stevenson; reported at 11 a.m.
• 2.1 inches in Towson; reported at 9:45 a.m.
• 2 inches in Pikesville; reported at 10 a.m.
• 2 inches in Phoenix; reported at 9 a.m.
• 1.8 inches in southeast Woodlawn; reported at 9:10 a.m.
• 1.7 inches in northeast Perry Hall; reported at 1 p.m.
• 1.5 inches in northeast Kingsville; reported at 8:45 a.m.
• 1.3 inches in White Marsh; reported at 8:21 a.m.
• 1.1 inches in Essex; reported at 8:20 a.m.

The most snow so far is in Allegany County, where Frostburg had 6 inches at approximately 11:30 a.m.; and Washington County, where Cascade had 6 inches at 2 p.m. Allegany County Public Schools were closed.

Baltimore County’s Hereford Zone and Carroll County opened on a two-hour delay Friday.
