Stevenson Guard Shoots Way to CAC Award

Brett Burrier averaged 28 points in two games last week.

junior Brett Burrier is picking up right where he left off.

The 6-foot-6, 205-pound guard won the Capital Athletic Conference's Player of the Week award for his play during the last seven days of the 2010-2011 basketball season.

Two weeks into 2011-2012 Burrier has won the award again, having averaged 28 points and nine rebounds in two games last week, one an 81-71 win over NYU Poly.

The Mustangs are 2-3, two weeks into coach Gary Stewart's first season.

In helping Stevenson win their second game, Burrier scored 32 points and snared 11 rebounds. The Westminster native had 24 points and seven rebounds in a Nov. 22 loss to Elizabethtown.
