Stevenson Lacrosse in National Rankings
The Mustangs are No. 7 USILA Division III Preseason Poll.

The men's lacrosse team will begin the season ranked No. 7, the university's athletics website said.
The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Preseason Poll put the Mustangs in the top 10 in Divison III after they finished last season ranked third. Stevenson went 18-3 in 2011, advancing to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship.
The team led the nation in goals per game and scoring margin and boasted the USILA's Outstanding Player of the Year Jimmy Dailey and Outstanding Defensive Player Evan Douglass, according the the university.

Salisbury, a fellow Capital Athletic Conference team, was ranked No. 1 in the preseason poll. The perennial powerhouse Seagulls won the Division III championship last year, and eight other times since 1994.
Ten of Stevenson's 17 regular season opponents are either ranked or receiving votes in the USILA poll, including seven of the first eight, the university's athletics website said.
