Stevenson Names Boswell Women's Basketball Coach

Former Seton Keough mentor earned Baltimore City Coach of the Year honors three times.

Stevenson University on Wednesday named Jackie Boswell, who previously led Baltimore's Seton Keough High School for 10 seasons, as its new head women's basketball coach. She succeeds Chris Ramer, who resigned in April following 16 seasons at the helm.

"We've done a lengthy and exhaustive national search for the head women's basketball coach," said Athletic Director Brett Adams. "I feel that we have the very best candidate and it is unique because she is a local candidate. I think it is the perfect fit for Stevenson University to take us to the next level."

Boswell, who played four seasons at Division III Virginia Wesleyan College, compiled a 235-82 record at Seton Keough and leading the Gators to six Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference title games. She also earned Baltimore City Coach of the Year honors three times, and was named Metro Coach of the Year in 2009.
