Stevenson Volleyball Awaits NCAA Selection Monday

The Mustangs lost in the Capital Athletic Conference's championship game Saturday, so are dependent on receiving an at-large bid to the NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship.

The volleyball team had a school record, 19-game winning streak snapped in the Capital Athletic Conference Championship game Saturday, and now must wait to see if its season will continue.

The Mustangs (31-3) hope to be picked as an at-large selection for the Womens' Volleyball Championship tournament. They are ranked fourth in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Region.

A selection would mean the program's first-ever appearance in the national tournament. The NCAA's picks will be announced at 11 a.m. Monday, a university statement said.

Salisbury (31-3) beat Stevenson for their twelfth straight win, and is already guaranteed to represent the CAC in the tournament.
