SU: Women's Soccer Loses in Championship

The teams played to a scoreless draw during the regular season.
The Mustangs (14-6-3) controlled play for much of the game's first 25 minutes, with Brandy Foehrkolb, Jamie Matlock and Julie Dempsey having the best scoring chances, according to a Frostburg State report.

And in the end, it was a junior defender -- Liz Seligman -- who made a play for the Bobcats, ripping a shot from 30-yards out that Stevenson goalkeeper Brittany Ross couldn't corral.
A 2-1 loss in the conference semifinals prevented the Mustangs from pursuing an NCAA Divison III Championship berth, but an ECAC title would have been a solid consolation prize.
Stevenson and advanced past Albright with a 1-0 win Saturday night.
Brandy Foehrkolb scored the goal in that game off an assist by Stephanie Eyler, who finished her career tied for the most goals in program history and as the all-time goals leader in the CAC.
