It's Sugarloaf Craft Festival Time
Owings Mills and Reisterstown-based artisans will display their crafts in Timonium this weekend at the popular Sugarloaf Craft Festival.
The Sugarloaf Craft Festival comes through town this weekend, boasting more than 250 craft designers and artists. Several Reisterstown and Owings Mills-based artists and designers will be on hand to showcase their creations at the festival, which takes place at the Timonium Fairgrounds this weekend.
The artists are:
- Robin Barr of Owings Mills creates wire-wrapped pendants, earrings, bracelets and necklaces using a variety of stones. www.justmyimagination.com
- Smadar Livne of Owings Mills, born and educated in Israel, creates multi-level fiber sculptures, wall hangings, tapestry collages and canvas pieces using a variety of materials including fabric, paper, historic images and embedded photographs. www.smadarlivne.com
- Lucile Martin hand-crafts earrings and necklaces using 18kt gold, 14kt gold and silver, hand-tying and weaving stones and natural pearls into the pieces at her Reisterstown studio. www.lucilemartin.com
- Paul Mulinde of Owings Mills photographs landscapes and nature scenes around the country and in the area. He splits his time between teaching classical piano taking photographs. www.mulindeartandphotography.com
The Sugarloaf Craft Festival takes places Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium. Parking is free, tickets are$9 for adults, children under 12 are free. For more information, visit the website.
