Suspect Behind Credit Card Theft in Maryland, Virginia Linked to Incident in Owings Mills
The Baltimore County Police Department is asking for help in finding a suspect who stole a patron's credit card from their locker at Gold's Gym and used it to purchase high-end items from Best Buy.
A suspect used a credit card stolen from a locker in Owings Mills to immediately purchase high-end electronic equipment from last month — and the needs help finding him, according to a release.
"It is believed that this suspect may be responsible for the same type of thefts throughout Maryland and northern Virginia," the release said.
He is described as a black male, ages 25 to 30, 6 feet tall and weighing 270 pounds.
The suspect stole the credit card and other personal items from the victim's car after he broke into a gym locker in the men's room a little before 6 p.m. on Jan. 24 and stole the victim's car key, according to the release. The suspect then made his purchases at Best Buy and continued on to , where the card was denied due to insufficient funds, according to the release.
