From the National Weather Service: *Special Alert* An air quality alert is in effect today. The Maryland Department of the Environment has issued a code orange air quality alert, which means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children, people suffering from asthma, heart disease or other lung diseases, and the elderly.
Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 92. North wind between 5 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Friday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. Southeast wind between 3 and 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
