Three Indians Garner Baltimore Sun All-Metro Honors

The Baltimore Sun unveiled its All-Metro selections this weekend and three Franklin athletes were among those receiving honors.
For the second year in a row, wide receiver Ian Thomas was named to the All-Metro first team offense. In his senior season, Thomas achieved team highs in catches (38), receiving yards (716) and touchdowns (seven). He also rushed for 255 yards and two more scores and produced another two touchdowns on special teams.
According to The Sun, Thomas is weighing offers from Rutgers, Vanderbilt and Iowa—among others.

Thomas’ teammate, Cyril Nuworsoo earned a spot on the Sun’s All-Metro second team offense. Playing at left tackle, Nuworsoo, a senior, helped lead the way for an offense that averaged over 26 points per game and a rushing attack that produced 1,761 yards and 17 touchdowns as a team.
Standout striker Michael Cronauer earned one of 14 spots on the Sun’s All-Metro soccer second team. The senior led a 9-4 Franklin squad in both goals (11) and assists (12) this year.
