Truck Flips On I-695 Near I-795: State Highway Administration

A crash on the outer loop snarled traffic for more than two hours Friday afternoon on I-695.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A crash on Interstate 695 snarled traffic for beltway commuters Friday afternoon in Baltimore County.

After a truck flipped on the outer loop, three lanes were closed in the area of I-795, the Maryland State Highway Administration reported.

The single-vehicle crash happened shortly after 1 p.m. on I-695 before the exit for I-795, according to transportation officials.

By 3:30 p.m., all lanes had reopened, the Maryland State Highway Administration said; however, delays remained in the area.
