Victor George Copestake Sr., 87, of Reisterstown

Victor George Copestake Sr., 87. of Reisterstown, died Wednesday. Oct. 28, at his daughter’s home in Shenandoah Junction, W.V.

Born Feb. 11, 1928 in Richfield, N.J., he was the son of the late William G. and Catherine Susanna Elizabeth Henrietta Lamb Copestake, Jr. He was the husband of Dorothy Fowble Copestake, his wife of 66 years.

Mr. Copestake was a retired self-employed bus contractor. He was also member of the American Antique Car Club of America and a Navy Veteran of WWII. He enjoyed square dancing, and years ago sold Christmas Trees.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Robert Harry Copestake and spouse Leonard Berman of Atlanta, Ga., Catherine Copestake Yohn and fiancée Fred Collins of Shenandoah Junction, W.V., and Janie Copestake Eckard and spouse Kenneth of Hanover, Pa., grandchildren, Christopher S. Yohn, Emma Mastrogiuseppe, Dylan Eckard and Aimee Tasker. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Victor George (Chopper) Copestake, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel., 3296 Charmil Dr., Manchester, on Monday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Scott Sager officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery, Upperco,

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
