BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A Spanish teacher at Franklin High School is accused of engaging in videotaped sex acts with a male student, according to police. There is a warrant for the arrest of the teacher, who is believed to have left the country, the Baltimore County Police Department reported Friday.

Ekatherine Pappas, 24, of the 200 block of Lyndale Avenue in Nottingham, allegedly engaged in sex acts with a 16-year-old student on two occasions — on Dec. 21 and Dec. 22, 2016 — police said. According to authorities, the acts did not take place on campus.

The investigation began after a school resource officer at Franklin High School became aware of a video Thursday showing a female teacher involved in sex acts with a student, according to officials.
