Woman Dragged by Car in Owings Mills Robbery Attempt: Police

The suspect vehicle was a white Cadillac with dark tinted windows, police say.

After a robbery attempt in Owings Mills ended with a woman being dragged across a parking lot, the Baltimore County Police Department is asking the public for help identifying the suspect.

A 50-year-old woman was returning to her vehicle in the Walmart parking lot in the 9700 block of Reisterstown Road with groceries when a man in the passenger seat of another vehicle tried to grab her purse, police said.

The woman held onto her purse, which was on her shoulder, then was knocked down and dragged briefly by the vehicle, according to police.

Authorities said the vehicle left the scene after the robbery attempt, which occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12.

The suspect vehicle was a white Cadillac made sometime between 2000 and 2005, according to officials, who said it had dark tinted windows.

The victim was treated at the scene for her injuries, according to police. She held on to her purse throughout the incident, police said.
