Woodlawn Double Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured: Police

Baltimore County police said two men were meeting when both pulled out handguns and shot one another.

WOODLAWN, MD - One man is dead and a teen is injured after police said they both pulled out handguns at a meeting and shot one another in the middle of the afternoon on Wednesday in Woodlawn.

The meeting occurred on Kent Avenue, according to officials, who were called to two separate locations for shooting victims and determined they were connected.

After 3 p.m., police responded to a report about a shooting in the area of Queen Anne Street and Kent Avenue, where they found 24-year-old Christopher Alan White. Authorities said that White, of the unit block of Bonnie Doon Court, was taken to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced deceased after 5 p.m.

Another shooting victim was reported in the 1100 block of Lisadale Circle. Police said the 17-year-old, whose identity was not provided, was taken to a local hospital, where his condition was unknown.

According to police, White and the teen planned to meet on Kent Avenue when during the meeting, both pulled out handguns and fired several rounds at each other.

The circumstances surrounding the meeting are under investigation.
