20-Year-Old Charged in Parkville Shooting: Police

The shooting at a Parkville residence was connected to a robbery, Baltimore County police allege.

PARKVILLE, MD – Police have charged one person with attempted murder and other offenses related to a shooting in a Parkville home.

Rasheed Cannon, 20, of the 6300 block of Eastern Parkway, allegedly shot someone during a robbery Monday night at a residence in the unit block of Cody Avenue, police said.

The victim was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive, police reported.

Authorities said they found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body when responding to a call about a shooting at a house in the unit block of Cody Avenue after 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

Cannon fled the scene and was charged Tuesday with attempted first and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, armed robbery and using a firearm to commit a felony, according to police.

He is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center, police reported. Officials said Cannon knew one person in the home where the alleged robbery occurred.
