The day began with a guided campus tour, giving the children an inside look at the vibrant Oak Crest community. The tour started with a visit to the resident-operated train garden, where residents shared their passion, creativity, and craftsmanship, exemplifying lifelong learning and engagement.

Throughout the day, participants enjoyed activities designed to inspire curiosity and personal growth. They met with the recruitment team to learn valuable career skills, including resume writing and interview preparation. They also stepped into the Oak Crest TV studio, where they experienced life on camera and were interviewed by a member of the Resident Advisory Council.

The intergenerational fun continued with a scavenger hunt hosted by the Garden Club. Working alongside residents, the children explored the garden plots and planted sunflowers to take home, creating a lasting reminder of the day and the connections they formed.

The event concluded with a movie, giving participants time to relax and reflect on a day filled with learning, laughter, and new friendships.

Oak Crest continues to create innovative programs that strengthen connections across generations and help residents, team members, and their families live better lives.
